Just a fan’s thoughts

Anfield. Many, many great games there. But do you remember Southampton in 2021? Watford in 2019? Fulham in 2018? Cardiff in 2013? West Brom in 2008? Probably no to them all.

No-one was jumping for joy when it was the Europa League this year rather than the Champions League, especially after six uninterrupted seasons in the latter.

Needed to win. Did win.

Most of that depends on how you view the bigger picture, really.

I think what we see tonight is the difference between the Champions League and the Europa League.

I saw a film. I like a good sports film. It was all about two football teams and this crazy referee guy and how the game gets changed by the officials. Load of shit. Extremely unrealistic in every way and scarcely believable. Wouldn’t recommend.
